The Flux Max is a cordless tattoo machine that is the culmination of everything FK Irons has created over the years.
Powering the FK Irons Flux Max is the upgraded PowerBolt II, which offers tattooists a refined user experience and features a new internal motherboard with the latest technological advancements, as well as additional layers of electronic safety protection. The PowerBolt II features a digital OLED display that is designed to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. It offers up to 6 hours of battery life and features a USB-C connector for easy charging. We recommend using the included chargers or high-quality devices to avoid charging issues with products that don't provide enough power.
Using the display screen and updated touchpad on the PowerBolt II, tattoo artists can browse and access menus to toggle and adjust various battery settings without having to use the Darklab app. Menu options include:
- Main power display - in hertz (Hz) or volts (V)
- Secondary power display - with an alternate unit of power selected above
- Voltage configuration - display voltage in 0.1 or 0.5 V increments
- Foot switch - activates Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connection to Darklab
- Killswitch foot pedal eGive
- - from level 0 (eGive off) to levels 1, 2 and 3 (hard, medium and soft hit).
- Once adjusted, the device senses the voltage of the cartridges in use and runs an algorithm to ensure that eGive is consistent with the selected level.
- Timer - tracks session time (ideal for artists who charge by the hour)
- Screen Orientation - choice of left- or right-handed operation
- Dispatch - an "emergency stop" for the device to ensure that it is not accidentally turned on while traveling, especially on an airplane.
- PowerBolt II offers a wider voltage range than its predecessors from 4 to 12 volts

The Flux Max offers full compatibility with existing FK Irons accessories and wireless devices right out of the box, including the Darklab Killswitch and mobile app. If needed, the PowerBolt II can be replaced with the original PowerBolt or PowerBolt+.
Made of 6061 T6 aluminum, the FK Irons Flux Max has a more tapered design than previous Flux models, along with a revised center ring design. The taper is similar to that of the Xion Gorilla grip, but less aggressive. Diamond facets adorn the top of the grip, adding to the style, and the redesigned handle has dimples for increased comfort and ergonomics.
Tattoo artists will be able to use future disposable FK Irons handles from Flux Max, as well as the original Flux and EXO handles.
Compatible with universal Cheyenne cartridges. Consistent, reliable motor and needle penetration systems ensure optimal cartridge functionality. In addition, the razor is front-balanced so artists can easily get through tattoo sessions with less fatigue.
This version of the FK Irons Flux Max comes with 2 PowerBolt II batteries. We also offer the Flux Max with a single PowerBolt II.
